YORK Acorn ARL Under-14s turned in a stunning performance to win 68-10 at Garforth.
Acorn's tries came from Steven Mackley (4), Joe Clark (2), Jason Smith (2), Matthew Nelson, Billy Gillan, Danny Brown (2), Lee Acaster and Thomas Mackley, who also kicked five goals with brother Steven adding the other.
Although losing their first game of the season, 24-18 at Eastmoor, York Acorn Under-11s showed plenty of promise.
Acorn felt they were robbed of what should have been a share of the spoils by a dubious late try.
Try scorers were Gary Sissons, Lloyd Clark and Ryan Richardson with all three adding their own conversions.
York Acorn Under-10s were beaten 5 tries and 2 conversions to 3 tries and 2 conversions at Castleford-based Smawthorne.
Acorn's points came from tries by Peter Todd, Ben Johnson and Liam Wilkinson, who also kicked a goal as did Anthony Chilton.
Acorn's man of the match was Jordan Hyde with good displays also coming from debutants Tyler Clark, David Jefferson, Kyle Myers and Leigh Carside.
