Poppleton retain their Tyke Petroleum Men's Tennis League division one title on game difference after taking two points from Bubwith.
John Anderson and Robert Moore scored a decisive 27 games for Poppleton whose only defeat during the season came against Dunnington. Dunnington finished runners-up, 47 games behind. Their only defeat was in the return match against Poppleton.
Knaresborough's 82-26 win over Civil Service kept them in the top division but Rowntree Park were relegated.
In division three, Fulford earned their first points, against Dunnington II, with Leo Waters and Peter Griffith scoring 27 games. A good team effort brought Wheldrake a 73-35 win over Dunnington II with Graham Taylor and David McDermott scored 28. Bishopthorpe remained just outside the promotion group despite beating Wilberfoss 68-40, Neil Richards and Paul Cooke providing 28 games.
The battle at the top of division six now rests with only two clubs as a result of Boston Spa II's win at Wheldrake which took them to the top with only Nestl Rowntree, yet to be played, as rivals.
New Earswick II's season finished with a heavy 90-18 defeat by Sheriff Hutton.
