Runners from Mick Easterby's yard at Yarmouth are something of a rarity which makes Esyoueffcee worthy of interest at the course tomorrow.
The three-year-old makes the long journey south from Easterby's Sheriff Hutton yard to contest the John Musker Fillies' Stakes, a Listed event and Yarmouth's feature race of the day with £22,000 in prize money up for grabs.
A high-class juvenile last season, Esyoueffcee had a belated return to action this year and did not reappear until last month at Newcastle.
She ran a cracking race, however, to finish third to Moselle, beaten just over three lengths.
Tackling the same distance of ten furlongs tomorrow and with Jimmy Fortune again in the saddle, Esyoueffcee faces some tough opposition, but deserves plenty of respect all the same.
Ranville looks poised to complete a hat-trick in the Eastern Festival Handicap.
The three-year-old, trained by Michael Jarvis, was most recently successful at Haydock when beating Little John by a lenghth.
Give in the ground seems to suit Ranville and, with conditions likely to be ideal for him tomorrow, a bold bid look assured.
Casta Diva, who got off the mark at Thirsk recently, can follow-up in the Jack Leader Challenge Trophy Fillies' Nursery.
Chris Wall's two-year-old had shown plenty of promise in her early races and thoroughly deserved her success at Thirsk, where she Two Steps To Go by three-quarters of a length, with the remainder of the field no less than seven lengths further back.
Casta Diva looks the sort to make her mark in handicaps and is fancied to oblige again under Ricky Mullenand is awarded the Nap.
The £10,000 Tote Credit Club Showcase Handicap over five furlongs could provide a winning opportunity for Lively Lady to return to the winning groove.
Pat Eddery's mount showed plenty of dash over this course and distance three weeks ago when finishing a close-up sixth to Connect. An even better show is anticipated on tomorrow's softer ground.
Kevin Darley, who has some interesting rides at Yarmouth, should hit the scoreboard in the Thomas Prior Maiden Stakes aboard Miss Teak, who is overdue a win.
Over the sticks at Sedgefield, make a note of Toshiba Times in the Oakley For Mitsubishi Novices' Hurdle (Div 1).
Brian Ellison's gelding won a soft race easily over this course and distance 11 days ago and, with confidence boosted, he can now complete a double. Graham Lee has the mount again.
Tomorrow's selections:
Yarmouth: 2-00 Isabella d'Este, 2-30 Esyoueffcee, 3-00 Lively Lady, 3-30 Miss Teak, 4-00 Gazette It Tonight, 4-30 Casta Diva (Nap), 5-00 Ranville.
Sedgefield: 2-20 Bula Rose, 2-50 Diamond Crown, 3-20 Flaxen Pride, 3-50 Toshiba Times, 4-20 Divet Hillo, 4-50 Intersyu Falcoln, 5.20 Barrelbio.
