LUTON Town will arrive at Bootham Crescent tomorrow boosted by the addition of some Gallic flair.
Hatters boss Joe Kinnear has been desperate to draft in some fresh forward blood after an unconvincing start to the season which has seen Luton justify their title favourites tag sporadically.
This week St Etienne striker Alex Di Rocco has been on trial at Kenilworth Road alongside Stoke City's Dean Crowe.
Kinnear, who has likened Di Rocco to Arsenal's Thierry Henry in style, has been keen to snap up the pair in time for Luton's visit to Bootham Crescent.
Di Rocco, 30, who had a spell on loan at Aberdeen last season, has reportedly now agreed to a loan move while Kinnear is still trying to push through the signature of 22-year-old Crowe in time for Saturday.
The former Wimbledon boss splashed the cash in the summer to recruit Carl Griffiths for £60,000 and has been rewarded with three goals from the former Leyton Orient striker.
However, Kinnear, despite only one league defeat in their opening six games, is desperate for more punch in attack with target man Steve Howard earmarked for the chop.
If Kinnear chooses to keep Di Rocco on the bench for the time being, Kinnear will likely hand a rare starting berth to Stuart Douglas.
Douglas's younger brother, Andy, a former Sheffield Wednesday junior, had a trial at Bootham Crescent a couple of season ago and recently starred in Channel Four's Shipwrecked programme.
Adrian Forbes, a £65,000 buy from Norwich City, has also disappointed since arriving in the summer having struggled with a groin injury.
In an effort to find his form, Kinnear played Forbes in the reserves in midweek but is expected to recall youngster Lee Mansell on Saturday.
Definitely ruled out of tomorrow's clash are Andrew Fotiadis (calf), Stuart Fraser (broken leg) and Adam Locke (calf).
