PRECIOUS points will be the plunder sought by Tadcaster Albion.
Dispatched out of the FA Cup at the first preliminary round hurdle Tadcaster were due to play Staveley Miners Welfare tomorrow, but they are still locked into FA Cup duty.
So Albion have been fixed up with a Northern Counties East league first division excursion to Worsborough Bridge, where they will be out to improve upon last week's 1-0 defeat at Yorkshire Amateur.
At least Tadcaster are far from being in the parlous state currently being endured by NCEL premier division outfit Goole Town.
After losing to 2-1 at Glapwell last Saturday - their third defeat in eight days - the club sacked manager Peter Daniel.
With assistant Pete Smith on holiday Goole physiotherapist Colin Taylor was in charge for the midweek haul to Garforth Town.
But after several players were struck in traffic Goole had to take to the field with just ten players as they went down 4-1.
If a new manager is not announced by today then it is expected that Goole's one-time Scarborough, Hull City and Preston North End striker Andy Saville, himself unavailable to play as he is serving a suspension, will take command for tomorrow's re-arranged NCEL trip to Denaby United.
