COPMANTHORPE Cougars ran out 8-1 winners against Haxby Town in the York Mitchell Sports League.
Danny Penrose led the way with four goals to add to efforts from Tom Wilson, Danny Snaith and Tom Shaw, plus an own goal. Nick Lawrie replied.
Jonathan Wileman hit all four goals for Tadcaster in their win over Sherburn White Rose with Adam Priestly notching a consolation.
Dunnington and Rufforth played an exciting game, Benjamin Gilpin scoring twice and Matthew Wilks also adding for Dunnington.
Rufforth goalkeeper Elliot Sawyer denied Dunnington a fourth with a fine penalty save, while Chris Dempsey and Matthew Alley replied.
In division two Barlby Raiders scored ten against Grasshoppers 'A' team.
Jonathan Herridge scored four, Steve Muirhead three and James Raine, Scott Thorpe and Luke Zacherenko one each.
Real Cliffe and Easingwold fought out a 1-1 draw with Jamie Newey on target for Real Cliffe and M Clegg for Easingwold. Huntington took both points with a 1-0 win at Thorpe United, William Atkinson the lone marksman.
Selby Town scored five against Poppleton, the strong wind not helping either team. Dominic Jones scored two goals with Alex Lestor and Chris Boaz also netting to add to an own goal.
Bass Sports found Brooklyn too good on the day going down 11-1. Philip Smith scored Bass consolation while for the winners the goals were shared by Gibson (4), Preston (2), Wade (2), Stevenson and Leadill, plus an own goal.
