Michell Britton failed to master Angie Hields in last summer season's York John Smith's Ladies League individual final, but she's back for another tilt at the title tonight at Layerthorpe WMC.
Britton used up a fair share when winning the semi-final 2-1 against Clifton's Jo Hodges, who led in with a splendid 20-darter.
Britton meets Tracey Farmeary, a 2-1 victor over Diane Moreland (Cranes). Farmeary found consecutive 180, 100, 98 scores to leave Moreland hopelessly adrift in the decider.
Britton and Karen Fratson were in a similar situation in the Captain-Vice Captain event, but the Bay Horse duo threw 100 then 132 and finished to oust Louise Hart and Sarah Jackson.
