AFTER their win in the York and District Snooker Association Summer Handicapped League, INL 'A' team also took the W Scorfield & Son Ltd Team Knockout title with a 3-1 win over Pack of Cards 'A' team.
In frame one INL's Kevin Hopper played a strong game with plenty of snookers to take the first point 148-60 over Jenny Smith, who stood in at the last minute to replace late-arrival G Wright.
In frame two, Mark Dodds played an excellent potting and safety game for INLA to overcome Kevin O'Connor 108-16. Mark had breaks of 14, 15 and 16 to put his team into a 2-0 lead
In the third frame Dave Wright managed to pull a point back for Pack of Cards in beating Alan Baines 56-41 after a well fought and very tight game.
But it was too big a task to pull back such a big aggregate.
That match brought the York & District summer matches to a close.
York & District Snooker Association has been asked to run a junior handicapped league for under-18s through the winter season.
There are a number of people entered, but any players interested in entering should contact the secretary, Phil Anderson, on 01904 422527 as soon as possible or attend the next meeting on Wednesday, October 3 at the Cueball Club, James Street, York at 8pm.
