A FEMALE police officer suffered minor injuries when her patrol van collided with an empty bus.
The crash took place on the A59 Skipton Road in Harrogate, at the junction with Grove Road.
Though on the way to an incident, the police van was "almost stationary in traffic" at the time, and was not showing its blue lights or sounding its siren.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment, but did not need to be detained. The bus driver was uninjured.
"We are seeking witnesses, and would particularly like to speak to the driver of a silver estate car who pulled out on to Skipton Road just before the accident took place."
The accident happened just after 4pm yesterday.
Anyone with any information is asked to phone Harrogate Police on 01423 539312.
