HUNTER'S League Division Three Hornsea's opening pair posted another three-figure opening stand when they made 160 before being parted. Aussie Michael Johnston sailed past the 1000 runs mark.
Partner Paul Clappison contributed 76 and skipper Dave Prescott 35 as Hornsea made 254 for 4.
New Earswick's batsmen picked up the gauntlet as they raced to 131 for 2 in 27 overs with 51 from from Andy James but the impetus faltered and Earswick settled for a draw at 196 for 7.
Malton & Old Malton's hopes of sealing promotion were thwarted at Heworth where the home side batted to a draw at 156 for 5 after Malton had made 205 for -6.
Selby were relegated to Division Four despite a draw at fellow strugglers Cawood. Selby made 210 for 9 through Steve Whissker (63) and skipper Phil Jolly (52).
In reply for Cawood, Dave Bath hit 45, but Richard Laycock with 3 for 40 and Andrew Jarvis 3 for 41 had the hosts rocking at 139 for 9.
Hovingham took 29 points against Bolton Percy to move to 11 points behind their rivals.
Jamie Rigby made 47, Mark Butler a similar score and Colin Thacker an unbeaten 41 as Bolton were dismissed for 173.
Prest followed that with 43 runs and Nick Elliott then played yet another decisive innings as he hit an unbeaten 79 to take Hovingham to a five-wicket win.
Five wickets apiece for Mick Firth (5 for 17) and John Thornton (5 for 12) wiped out Osbaldwick's innings for 88 and paved the way for a Heslington win as Paul Neal (26 not out) and John Myers (28) saw their side home for the loss of four wickets.
Meanwhile, Civil Service had their best result of the season when they clocked a ten-wicket victory over New Earswick. Earswick collapsed to 126 all out as Andrew Tessier claimed 7 for 39 in Division Five.
For Service, Tim Jarvis made 80no and Dave Turner 38no to take them to victory without loss.
Heslington's Zeb Sakander made 42 and took 3 for 62 but, despite his performance, TABS ran out winners by four wickets. Dave Kirman took 5 for 40 as Heslington were dismissed for 114 then Ed Hill made 31 in Thorp Arch's winning reply.
Malton batted first when they entertained Hovingham and posted a total of 175 for 5. When Hovingham replied, Rob Cundall made 43 but Jim Dawson's 7 for 34 had them all out for 106.
Rowntrees enjoyed a quick victory over a badly depleted Pocklington side. Pocklington were bowled out for 79 in 32 overs, then Alan Roberts hit 37 as Rowntrees won by eight-wickets.
Tadcaster Magnet completed their programme by defeating Selby by five wickets. Matt Hunt (4 for 22) and Mike Stockdale (4 for 31) had Selby back in the pavilion for 88 then Ian Hardy made 34no to ease Magnet to a five-wicket win.
Howard Stean set up a Cawood win at Stamford Bridge when he took 6 for 59. Andy Winfield hit 48 in the home total of 124 for 9 but Cawood skipper Bob Paddison steered his side to a seven-wicket victory with an unbeaten 45.
Wilberfoss brothers Geoff and Brian Room shared an unbroken stand of 149 against Sessay. Geoff hit 139no whilst Brian was undefeated with 63.
Keith Till then followed suit with a century, making 107, as Sessay replied with 218 for 7.
