Fourth Division Burton Salmon turned in an excellent team display to lift the Scothern Construction Cup by beating third division Escrick Park at by four wickets at Woodhouse Grange.
Batting first, Escrick Park recovered from 36 for with a fifth wicket partnership of 57 between James Baughan (48) and Richard Sherwood (23) to reach 112, with Burton skipper Colin Driscoll taking the last three wickets in four balls.
The early Burton batsmen had a testing time but David Olde and Steve Warner gradually got on top of the bowling, increased the run rate and were firmly in charge until Olde was out for an excellent 49. Warner followed soon after but Burton Salmon completed the win with overs and wickets to spare.
The Cup was presented to Colin Driscoll by Ian Scothern of Malton based Scothern Construction.
