Knaresborough Town enjoyed a rare 2-1 victory over Nestle Rowntree last night to put a dent in 'Trees hopes of reclaiming their West Yorkshire League premier division title.
Town had to fight back from a goal down following Scott Barley's penalty, awarded after Brent Terry had been hauled down, to seemingly set Trees on their way.
However, two goals in a five-minute spell just before half-time turned the match in Knaresborough's favour.
In an even second-half, neither side was able to add to the scoring although 'Trees came close to grabbing an equaliser at the death only for the Knaresborough keeper to pull off a great save.
"It was a good game of football and they probably deserved the three points," said Nestle manager Jim Collis.
