SKATEBOARDING is a fun and healthy activity for teenagers - especially if it keeps them away from computers and television.
The main risks, aside from the occasional tumble, lie in having nowhere to practise, which can lead to skateboarding in dangerous places, on roads or too near busy traffic, or on pavements meant for pedestrians.
This is why the Evening Press is supporting those Ryedale youths who want a skateboard park, which could also be used by in-line skaters.
These fans of whizzing about need somewhere to Get On Board and we are happy to do our best to help them.
