A BOY aged 13 is to appear before York Crown Court on four charges of rape and three of indecent assault.
The boy, from west York, is accused of repeated sexual attacks on an eight-year-old boy in a six-month period.
York Youth Court decided the case was too serious for them to deal with and committed the 13-year-old to stand trial at York Crown Court.
Youth justices released him on bail that he lives as directed by the local authority, does not enter a part of York where the offences are alleged to have been committed and does not contact prosecution witnesses.
He is expected to appear before a judge later this month.
