A FLOOD fair to help North Yorkshire's residents face fears of rising water is being held in Harrogate this month.
The North Yorkshire County Council-organised event will be attended by the Environment Agency, and companies displaying products made to alleviate flooding problems.
Robin Marshall, the council's emergency planning officer, said: "A number of residents asked us what alternatives to sandbags might be available, so we did some research to find out what products were available.
"We discovered there is now a huge amount of flood prevention, restoration and protection measures that are now available."
The event takes place on September 29, at Harrogate Pavilions, between 10.30am and 4.30pm.
