FORMER York City midfield dynamo Steve Bushell is poised for a return to north Yorkshire.
Bushell, who left City for Blackpool three years ago, has now shipped up with Stalybridge Celtic, who are tonight's Conference League visitors to Scarborough.
The 29-year-old Bushell was released from the Tangerines during the summer after their promotion to division two of the Nationwide league and joined Stalybridge, who are anchored near the foot of the Conference table after a 1-1 draw at home to Farnborough town last weekend.
Hosts Boro meanwhile will be looking to build on their first win of the season at Woking on Saturday.
Ashley Fickling is Boro manager Neil Thompson's only injury doubt. The centre-back has a sore calf, and that could lead to a first start of the season for one-time York City junior John Keegan.
Striker Jamie Barnwell-Edinboro, who came on for the last ten minutes at Woking, is again on the bench and he may well get a longer run in the side when Darryn Stamp starts a three-match suspension after the game against Hayes this Saturday.
Steve Brodie is named in the side again as transfer activity for the little striker has cooled.
Scarborough: Woods, Short, Rennison, Ingram, Fickling, Fitzsimmons; Stoker, Blunt; Stamp, Burt and Brodie Subs : Newton, Atkinson, Keegan, Barnwell-Edinboro and Pounder.
