TIM Easterby, who took the opening honours at York yesterday with Travelling Times, can lift the feature event at Musselburgh tomorrow.
The Great Habton trainer saddles Artie in the £9,000 Gerrard Nursery Handicap and this speedy two-year-old, off the course for almost four months, is napped to return to action in a blaze of glory.
Easterby was readying Artie for a tilt at Royal Ascot after the youngster had opened his winning account in fine style at Chester in May, but a setback shelved those plans and meant a break from action.
The good news is that Artie is now on the comeback trail and, looking nicely weighted for his first handicap, he is expected to take plenty of beating tomorrow.
Kevin Darley, who takes the ride on Artie, experienced mixed luck at Sandown yesterday. Although he rode two winners, the Sheriff Hutton jockey also picked-up a one-day riding ban.
Darley has several promising mounts tomorrow, including Benny The Vice, a well-regarded newcomer from Mark Johnston's Middleham stable, who lines-up for the Scottish Racing Maiden Auction Stakes.
Darley will also be aboard Bhutan, who can put his wide range of experience to good use in the two-miles Stewarts Turf Classified Stakes over two miles.
Ella Falls. a winner on this course in mid-summer, can gain a repeat victory in the he Forth 2 Handicap.
This former selling hurdler has taken really well to flat racing this season and underlined her continued well-being by finishing third at Ripon last week.
Prince Minata was a winner over Musselburgh's one mile course earlier this season and the six-year-old has every chance of a repeat in the Whitelaw Handicap.
At Yarmouth, Fallen Star, stepped up in class, should go well in the European Breeders' Fund Fillies' Stakes. John Dunlop's two-year-old justified odds-on favouritism in a maiden race at Salisbury last month and looks capable of a good deal better. Pat Eddery again has the mount.
Indaba can continue Jeremy Noseda's current purple patch by winning the Race Sponsorship At Great Yarmouth Classified Stakes.
The mount of Kieren Fallon, Indaba has proved a model of consistency this summer and the chances are we have yet to se the best of her.
Emteyaz, who was unable to cope with heavy ground at Haydock last time, is worth another chance on different conditions in the Damgate Handicap.
Alec Stewart's three-year-old had scored at Folkestone prior to her Haydock flop. She should not be underestimated back on a sound surface.
