Beverley's hopes of clinching the first division title in the penultimate game were well and truly scuppered by Carlton Towers batsman Stuart Coleman, who hit the second highest score in the league's history.
It has only been bettered by Andy Holden's 213 for Scarborough in 1999.
Coleman, after being dropped on six, powered to a magnificent 204 not out, the highest individual innings ever recorded in the top two divisions, as Carlton made a massive 303 for 2 in their allotted overs. Beverley's batsmen then made a fine response as they replied with 243 for 6 to produce the best match aggregate of the season as 546 runs were scored in the game for the loss of only 8 wickets.
Pocklington took the full 30 points from their encounter with Dringhouses and could, in theory, still take the divisional honours if they can get a big result out of their final game against Carlton Towers.
Pocklington are 20 points behind Beverley who have won by far more games and thus require 10 points from their final match.
Pocklington reached 227 for 5 and when Dringhousese replied Richard Foster (3 for 45) combined with Mike Newhouse (5 for 31) to bowl them out for 152.
Crayke bowler Mick Hutchinson destroyed Wilberfoss with an 8 for 49 return which took him to 75 wickets for the season.
His side had been able to declare on 220-5 after 41 overs thanks to a 105 run partnership between Dave Thomas (80) and skipper John Wright (54). Australian Matt MacIntosh took 3 for 59 then his skipper Ian Clish made 40 but Hutchinson's effort had Wilberfoss all out for 107.
Crayke's victory means their promotion hopes remain mathematically alive although they will need to gain 23 points more than Pocklington in their final game.
Driffield beat Sessay, who have slipped to ninth place but are safe barring a high scoring tie in the final game between Stamford Bridge and Stillington.
Nick Harrison, aged 19, continued his fine season with a half century (59) which took him way past the 900 run mark. His effort enabled Sessay to make 164 for 9.
Driffield then collapsed to 16 for 4 and 96-8 before Dave Williamson (80no) and Chris Smith knocked off the required 69 runs without further mishap.
Stillington slipped into the relegation zone when they suffered a four-wicket home defeat at the hands of Duncombe Park whose victory clears them from the trapdoor.
Will Mallory with 3 for 15 and Colin Humpleby 3 for 21 brought about Stillington's demise as they slipped from 89 for 3 to 136 for 9.
Park's success then depended on opener Andrew Peirson who soldiered on valiantly as he lost a succession of partners to Mohammed Hafeez (4 for 41) to make 75 not out and see his side through to a four wicket victory.
Stamford Bridge earned a lifeline when they pulled of a good victory which ended York's promotion hopes.
John Hamlyn made 38 for York but Graham Tipping pegged them to 137 for 9 with the Stamford hero taking 6 for 60 in 23 overs.
Tipping then followed with a top score of 44 while one of Stamford's four juniors, John Hetherton, chipped in with 28 to help Bridge win by six wickets.
