Woodhouse Grange's Peter Head produced one of the best all-round performances ever when he scored 60 in his side's all out score of 139 and then took 8 wickets for a paltry 7 runs as Londesbrough Park were bowled out for a humiliating 26 in division three.
Park skipper Phil Curtis took 7 for 38 but was eclipsed by Head who took four wickets in four balls.
After rescuing a Woodhouse innings which had seen them struggle on a drying pitch after losing three wickets for 24, Head opened the bowling but conceeded a leg side boundary off his fifth ball. However he claimed his first victim with the final delivery of the opening over with a catch to the keeper. After a quiet spell, Head claimed two wickets in the seventh over and his strike partner Matthew Mellor had a success in the next over.
Head then took three wickets in the ninth over and Mellor claimed his second victim in the tenth. Head started the next over on a hat-trick which was duly earned and then extended to four wickets in four balls when the middle stump was removed. Head had taken 7 wickets in 13 balls and the Londesbrough Park innings had lasted less than 11 overs.
