POLICE are warning parents to be vigilant after three youths tried to entice a boy into their car.
The nine-year-old boy was walking home from playing fields along Armoury Road, Selby, when a silver car stopped.
The driver asked the boy if he liked wrestling. When he said no, he was asked if he liked football.
He was then offered a Fifa 2001 game and a PlayStation consle to play it on if he got into the car.
The boy refused and ran home after the incident , which happened at 4.30pm on Saturday.
Police said the driver of the car, possibly a VW Golf, was white and in his early 20s. He was wearing a dark blue shirt and jeans with a gold necklace and a silver watch.
Both passengers were also white and in their early 20s.
The man in the front had short black hair and was wearing an England football shirt.
In the back, the passenger wore a green shirt.
A police spokeswoman said: "This little boy did the right thing by running straight home and telling someone about it."
