ANIMAL health officers are prosecuting a York farmer for breaching foot and mouth regulations.
Richard William Bramley is accused of moving four bulls from Primrose Hill Farm, Heslington, to Anglo-Beef Processors, in Murton Lane, Murton, without a licence, on June 18.
At the time the two properties were part of a controlled area, where all animal movements needed a licence from York trading standards officers, who are also animal health officers.
They issued the summons that started proceedings before York magistrates today.
Bramley was not in court. His solicitors, Jackson's of Stockton-on-Tees, asked for an adjournment so they could read the evidence against him. The case was adjourned until September 20.
