FARMERS are to get the opportunity to voice their opinions and inform a cross-section of rural support organisations on the plight of their industry at a top level conference being held at The Lodge, Leeming Bar, on September 4, starting at 1.30pm..
Karen Stanley, farm conservation adviser with North Yorkshire Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group which is organising the event, said: "Three farmers will be giving presentations on the current agricultural crisis, the difficulties they have in getting grants, and support to move their businesses on to a more sustainable and positive future."
She added that support organisations would be supplying some of the answers to the farmers who will be attending from all parts of North Yorkshire.
