ONE year down, but will there be another to go?
Wayne Allan is celebrating his first anniversary at Layerthorpe's Frog Hall tomorrow despite the continuing cloud of uncertainty hanging over the community pub.
A party night featuring fun and games, local band Steeler, a few special guest appearances and a buffet will further galvanise the spirit of defiance in the pub against plans to demolish it for a video store and fast food outlet.
"It has been my first year in pub management and it has gone well," Wayne told the Evening Press.
"I would like to think I am going to get an opportunity to stay in here for another year and keep improving things.
"The music scene is really going well here and we have a great set of regulars."
The event kicks off at 8.30pm.
