THIRTY new jobs are on their way to York as one of the city's fastest expanding rail firms takes on a purpose-built headquarters.
Corus Rail Consultancy, whose staff has increased 50 per cent in 18 months and now employs 300 people in York, is to benefit from the demolition of the derelict former Crampton's auction rooms in Toft Green and the building of a £1.5 million modern block which should be ready by next May.
Corus plans to continue to occupy five floors at nearby Hudson House.
But it will hive off its support functions like finance, marketing, human resources and project management into the new building which it will rent on a 15-year lease from York developer Northminster Properties.
