AN investigation was continuing today into the death of a 31-year-old man who died after falling from a fifth-floor window at a Scarborough hotel.
An ambulance crew found the body of a man, who is believed to be from the Kent area, in a car park at the rear of the Talbot Hotel at 1.25am on Saturday.
It is believed the man fell 70ft to his death.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said a 32-year-old local woman had been interviewed by police and later released on bail.
He added that the man could not be named until his family had been informed of the incident.
Officers want to speak to a courting couple who may have witnessed the man's fall.
Anyone with information should contact Scarborough CID on 01723 500300.
A doctor pronounced the man dead at the scene and the North Yorkshire East Coroner, Michael Oakley, has been informed. He is expected to open an inquest later this week.
