TEENAGER Gavin Wilson, who broke his neck at a York BMX track, is still unable to walk two months after the accident.
The 14-year-old, from Tang Hall, who was injured when he fell from his mountain bike while riding over a jump at the track at St Nicholas Fields park in Tang Hall, is now in a specialist spinal injuries unit at Pinderfields Hospital, in Wakefield. This Monday, supporters of Gavin's are holding an all-day event at the Frog Hall Inn, in Layerthorpe, to raise funds for him. The event kicks off at 2pm with a sponsored Karaoke contest and will feature a performance by local disco dance troupe Club 68 at 4pm and a raffle with more than 40 prizes.
