Jurassic Park III brings dinosaurs to yet another generation of kids and this game joins the band wagon. Jurassic Park has been hit by a violent earthquake destroying nearly all of InGen's dinosaur DNA. With the scene set, it is your challenge to replace the lost DNA.
The game is based on the island which resembles a game board where you use a spinner to move along the path with each space giving you a mini-challenge. Win your challenge and you will be rewarded with points to buy up supplies, lose and you could end up at the first-aid camp, stuck in mud or up to your neck in dino dung!
With a name like Danger Zone, you would expect a lot of fast action, but this is not the case. The graphics are fine, but many of the challenges require little effort and become tiresome after a very short while, even for my six-year-old daughter. The game is best played with two players - if you pit yourself against the computer then it will go on forever as a stalemate. The computer will always win in the Mortal Kombat-style head-to-head challenge where you control one dinosaur fighting against another, but the computer can never complete the game. Overall, more of an educational then an entertainment package. Your kids will learn about the different dinosaurs but will soon become bored with the challenges.
