NORTH Yorkshire armed forces veterans are being invited to take part in a project being co-ordinated by Falklands War hero Simon Weston.
The Odyssey Project is a campaign to preserve the history of the armed forces by making a record of veterans' experiences.
"It is vital that we make a record now of how life was for all those serving in the Armed Forces over the past 80-100 years," said Mr Weston.
Those who have served are invited to write about their experiences in 500 words.
Those submitted will be entered into the Odyssey Timeship, a virtual time capsule at the Imperial War Museum.
Funds raised from the project will benefit The Royal Star and Garter Home, a permanent home for disabled ex-Service men and women.
