A CROWD of about 60 people, believed to be racegoers, was asked to leave a pub in the centre of York following a mass brawl last night.
Police were called to Yates's Wine Lodge, off Ouse Bridge, just before 9pm following reports of about 20 men beinginvolved in a fight.
Officers discovered a man from Edinburgh had been injured, but he did not make a complaint and declined medical treatment.
The group, which was thought to have been in the city for the first day of the Ebor race meeting at York Racecourse, moved on and no arrests were made.
