HOW history repeats itself. In 1988, hopeful home-buyers queued overnight for a chance to buy one of York's exclusive new homes at Bishop's Wharf.
Similar scenes occurred outside the Westgate Development offices on Bridge Street at the weekend, where 25 properties were sold. Interest was high, especially for properties with riverside views.
While these homes might be beyond the reach of many, it is good to see such a vote of confidence in York. With talk of a possible recession on the way, it is interesting to see how much confidence there is in the property market.
