Burythorpe and York have teed up a battle royale after both posted easy wins to stay in contention for the Horwath Pulleyn Heselton York Vale division one championship.
The rivals meet next week at York's Clifton Park base, where the destiny of the title may well be determined.
At the other end of the table, Heworth need a miracle to avoid relegation but who will accompany them will not be decided until the final game following Hemingbrough's 11 run defeat of Stamford Bridge.
Second division leaders Drax, having defeated British Sugar, only need one more win to clinch promotion to the first division.
However, who will join them remains undecided. Wheldrake are currently second with York Post third, both of whom won their games.
Westow climbed off the bottom having beaten Fulfordgate, while Kelfield and Thixendale, who both lost, occupy the relegation slots.
Burn's first win of the season came against league leaders Copmanthorpe to open up the third division.
Stillingfleet closed in on second place while Escrick Park, Melbourne and North Duffield are still very much in with a chance.
Tollerton stayed well in front of the chasing pack in division four and it looks like a three-way race for second place between Burton Salmon, York University Staff and Huntington.
Heworth's win over Drax gives them renewed hope of avoiding the drop.
York have gone clear in division five following their defeat of Thorpe Willoughby and Wistow's home loss to Pocklington.
