HUNTERS the estate agent York and District Senior Cricket League division one side Stillington have been docked 12 points for breaching the junior fast bowling restrictions.
Their captain has also been fined for the offence.
The league committee found that the bowler in question had bowled two overs in excess of his permitted six-over spell in a game against Beverley on August 14 and had then bowled a ten-over spell the following week against Driffield.
In each instance the captain had been advised that the bowler had completed his permitted spell but had chosen to exceed the allocation. The points penalty represents the minimum deduction of two points per excess over.
