ROZ Kerr showed outstanding York John Smith's Mixed League form as Golden Slipper 'A' overturned Huntington 'A' 5-4, writes Dave Fotheringham
Kerr threw 140, 100, 129, 92 then double top for a fantastic 13 dart game and deliver a serious blow to Huntington's title aspirations. They are eight points behind their 'B' side but have a match in hand.
Huntington 'B' slammed Slipper 'B' 8-1 with Michelle Britton checking 99 for 18 darts while Pete Leake returned 21.
Cygnet 'A' team's 7-2 over their 'C' side included 20 darts from Kevin Walton.
A last game win by Mike Palfreeman and Tracey Billingham gave Vaults 'A' victory at Three Tuns while Margaret Dodds and Paul Whitehead made it 5-4 for Vaults 'B' against Leeman 'B'.
The mixed pairs competition semi-finalists are Pete Leake-Karen Richardson (Huntington 'B'), Dave O'Hara-Jane Evans (Bumper), Jim Hawksby-Sue Smith (Beeswing) and Kevin Walton-Dawn Exton (Cygnet 'A').
Shepherd 'A' are the York John Smith's Men's League division one champions after beating Cygnet 6-3 and Green Tree 5-4.
Cygnet, had John Mooring out in 16 darts, but Mick Willsden (180 for 15), Rod Thompson (17) and Kevin Walton (118 finish for 18) starred for Shepherd 'A'. Willsden (180) and Walton (18) were also in top form against Green Tree whose Pete Green recorded 19 darts.
Osbaldwick outscored Cygnet on the tons count but lost 7-2. Mark Miller gamed in 18 darts while Mooring registered a maximum for Cygnet.
Trafalgar moved into third place with a fine 6-3 win at second-placed Poacher. Kelvin Frankel set them off with 21 darts and closed a 701 with Paul Keers (four tons) on 151 for 24 darts, a game which included ten ton-plus scores.
Mick Coupland opened Dringhouses' 6-3 win against Holgate with 21 darts. Alan Yates achieved the same feat to put Shepherd 'B' to a 5-4 win over Saddle whose Noel Cooper had a fine 19 darter.
Swan secured second place in division two by beating closest rivals Cygnet 'B', 6-3. Ian Hartley started Cygnet off with 21 darts but Ged McMahon equalled that and Swan stormed on to victory. Lyndon Taylor and Graham Quinn clinched the win.
Phil Smith opened Vaults' 7-2 victory against Green Tree 'A' while Bruce Alexander-Mick Shepherd settled Slip's win at Institute 'A'.
Flag had a fine 20 darts from Dave Dobson but Groves took the late games to pinch victory. Chris Flanagan-Dave Atkin made it four apiece for Barry Houlden-Fred Stead to clinch the decider.
