This is an unusual story of an unusual little girl, with 12 sisters, who are all extremely vain.

So vain, in fact, that the demons of vanity possess them. Your job, as Linda, the youngest, but most mature, of the sisters, is to rescue each of the others from their "perfect world" and exorcise the demon within - bringing them safely back to reality.

With the aid of your lucky scarf, which by a twist of fate has also become home to a vanity demon (with the power to deform objects it touches), you travel through different realms and can only maintain control of this demon scarf so long as you satisfy its incessant desire to stretch things.

The more objects you stretch and destroy, the more points you gain.

In fact, Freak Out is just the usual platform/beat-em-up/collect points type of game. The graphics at the beginning are a bit naff - but do get slightly better - and the controls are a bit hit and miss. Not a game to rush out and buy. Either hire it or wait till it's on the second hand shelf.
