EVERY student who has made the A-level grade deserves congratulations. But for Sarah Acum it is a double achievement.
Sarah first learned she had a serious heart condition five years ago. The Canon Lee pupil had major surgery and had to take long periods off school to recover. But she was adamant that her ill health would not hold her back for long.
Sarah has now added two A-grade A-levels to her clutch of GCSEs, and has secured a place at her chosen university.
With such an abundance of talent and determination, she is bound to go far.
