CITY of York Council is in no position to take others to task over unauthorised signs in Dringhouses when they are guilty under the Traffic Signs and General Directions Act 2000 of displaying an illegal road sign at the Skeldergate Bridge end of Cromwell Road which indicates 'Parking, 325 metres'. They should know the law stipulates such distances be shown solely in units of imperial measurement.
