TOP marks to the Evening Press for the Planet York supplement and the ongoing support for the energy efficiency program over the next year. This type of supplement has been desperately needed for a long time.
I take a keen interest in climate change and have read much of the scientific data at length.
The Evening Press is to be commended on its research. The figures are spot on.
There can now be no excuse for anyone to profess ignorance on this subject. As with drink driving, those that can be educated must now surely be educated, there can now only be an uneducatable rump of selfish individuals who are prepared to see the world population of now and the future live with the catastrophic effects of climate change so long as they can have their fossil fuel fix.
I guess it's still a little early to ask the Press to provide a new supplement every Friday in place of Motoring (this must surely be encouraging car profligacy and more pollution).
Notwithstanding this, well done to one and all.
A particularly stirring editorial on page eight as well. A call to arms if ever I saw one.
Are the people of York equal to it? Only time will tell.

...ENERGY saving! How much energy was used to produce the ice model of York Minster (August 15)?
But it is attractive, on one of the hottest days of the year.
