ASKHAM Bryan, struggling all season at the bottom of division three, gave leaders Copmanthorpe a fight before going down with just one over to go.
Askham lost opener Nadeem Sadiq in the first over, but Adrian Rogers batted well for 63, his maiden half century in the league, as his side reached 153 for 8.
John Hughes, bowling throughout, took 4 for 70, while Chris Hall returned 3 for 44. Dave Purdy and Peter Northfield added 50 for Copmathorpe's second wicket but when they departed wickets began to fall in pairs.
Roy Atkinson came in with Copmanthorpe on 101 for 6 and his undefeated 28 gave his side victory in the 39th over.
All rounder Chris Walker was the match winner for Stillingfleet at Melbourne. He took a decisive 3 for 28, which he then followed by a valuable innings of 56.
Melbourne's John Chaplin made his 55 no in his side's 136 for 9.
Then Stillingfleet were going well with Chris Woodfine (31) and Walker prompting regular bowling changes.
Melbourne brought on Greg Nesbitt and captured three wickets in as many overs before Rich Elcock steered Stillingfleet home.
James Reynolds (62) and Chris Megone (78no) put on 87 for Escrick Park on a wet wicket against North Duffield.
Frequent stoppages didn't seem to bother the batsman as Escrick reached 183 for 3. In reply, David Beilby carried his bat for 41 but Duffield struggled against Richard Sherwood (3 for 57 from 20 overs) and Neil Reader (3 for 40 from 19 overs) to lose by a big margin.
