Huntington picked the wrong time to have an off day when they were all out for 59 against fourth division leaders Tollerton.
Only Mick Ramsden, better known for his exploits with York Rugby League Club, made it into double figures and he then fell to Tollerton's Alan Raper, who was having his first bowl for 24 years.
Tollerton used up 37 overs to prise Huntington out but wasted little time in racing to their eight-wicket win.
Andrew Charlton maked an impressive 34 before falling to debutant Nick Thurlow.
Ben Wallace (40) propped up the Acomb innings of 105 at Burton Salmon before becoming one of Max Driscoll's five wickets, which were winkled out of 12 overs at a miserly cost of a mere 11 runs.
Burton Salmon were in deep trouble at 2 for 2. But they recovered admirably to win by five wickets and move into second spot.
Ovington seconds completed a good day for their club when they beat York University Staff by six wickets.
The Staff ranks could not cope with the spin of Tim Munday (4 for 6) on a difficult wicket and with Paul Mizon finishing with 5 for 20 Staff were shot out for a meagre 49.
Ally Hammerton took four catches in only his third game as wicketkeeper and then he teamed up with skipper David Cole to steer Ovington to victory.
Richard Wain (52no) and Roger Phillpot (24) helped Selby recover from a threatening 13-3 with a third wicket partnership of 72.
That enabled them to reach 126 for 7 against Drax.
The visitors had few alarms as John Penistone (34) and James Brook (50no) eased their side home.
