TWO of Tadcaster Swim Squad's star performers rounded off the season with fine performances at the National Age Group Championships at Sheffield.
Amy Clayden, 14, began with a personal best of 31.94 seconds in the 50metres butterfly, giving her 24th place overall.
However, her best performance came in the 50m backstroke, where her time of 32.66 was enough to see her into the final, where she finished seventh in of 32.84.
She was 11th in the 100m backstroke in 1min 9.36secs and in the 200m backstroke, her time of 2:32.22 wonher heat and take 16th position.
Peter Webster, 15, competed in the 100m and 200m backstroke, reaching the finals of both events.
He finished eighth in the shorter event in 1:04.55, marginally slower than his qualifying time of 1:04.29. Over the longer distance, a time of 2:17.57 was enough to give him sixth place.
