Kevin Darley, who is pressing Kieren Fallon hard for the jockeys' title, can do his championship hopes some good at Beverley tomorrow.

The defending champion, from Sheriff Hutton, has a host of attractive rides, including Safe Trip, who makes the long journey north from John Dunlop's Sussex yard to contest the Toll Gavel Nursery.

A progressive type, Safe Trip scooted home three lengths clear of Waxwing to claim her first win in three starts at Brighton recently.

Tomorrow's extended seven furlongs should suit Safe Trip admirably and she is napped to follow-up.

Darley can also take the Holderness Pony Club Novice Auction Stakes on Beauteous.

Alan Berry's juvenile made it third time lucky at Musselburgh on his latest outing when beating the odds-on Spritzeria by a neck. He looks capable of improving further and may well be able to concede weight all round here.

Mill Afrique can be another winner for Darley in the St John Ambulance Selling Handicap.

Mary Reveley's versatile mare returned from hurdling to finish second to Blair at Nottingham last month.

Tomorrow's longer trip should suit Mill Afrique, who will not get many better opportunities to win a Flat race.

The £10,000 Nick Wilmot-Smith Memorial Handicap looks a good opportunity for Exotic Fan to extend her winning sequence.

Newmarket trainer Rae Guest has placed this filly with considerable skill to win her last four races.

Still handily treated, despite a 6lb penalty for a recent Wolverhampton success, Exotic Fan can complete a five-timer in the hands of George Duffield.

Kieren Fallon is set to travel north principally to partner Castanet in the EBF Westwood Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Sir Michael Stoute's two-year-old, a very well-related filly, displayed plenty of promise when finishing second on her debut at Newmarket. She is expected to go one better.

At Epsom tomorrow, Aker Wood is worthy of consideration in the Emcor Drake & Scull Handicap.

Alan Jarvis's filly finished a respectable fourth to First Steps at Newbury last time out and looks capable of winning a similar contest. Opportunity could now come knocking for her.

Jarvis and jockey Darryll Holland also have strong claims with Becky Simmons in the £12,000 Options Employment Showcase Handicap.

Although she has been off the track for two months, this three-year-old clearly goes well fresh, having been a first-time-out winner both this season and last.
