A NUMBER of international stars are set to line up at Wetherby Road tonight when Harrogate Town entertain Leeds United, writes Peter Martini.

The Premiership big-guns are sending a strong reserve side to the UniBond League outfit, including England winger Jason Wilcox, New Zealand international Danny Hay and Australian counterpart Jacob Burns.

Fit-again England Under-21 goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who lives in Stamford Bridge, will also start, behind former Chelsea defender Michael Duberry, while Tadcaster starlet Matthew Kilgallon will be among the substitutes.

On Saturday, Kilgallon started for a Leeds XI in their 2-1 win at Northern Counties East League outfit Goole, where United's goalswere shared by Harpal Singh and Craig Farrell.

Dave Cotton scored for Goole, while York-based Chris Kamara, son of former York City and Scarborough defender Alan Kamara, came on as a substitute for Leeds.

Tonight's match will be like an old boys' reunion. There are a host of ex-Leeds men in the ranks at Wetherby Road, including chairman Bill Fotherby, managing director Nigel Pleasants, president Leslie Silver, director Drew Tiffany and coach Peter Gunby. Town's new player-coach, Neil Aspin, also made more than 170 appearances for Leeds.

The match will be Town's last pre-season friendly before they kick off their UniBond League campaign on Saturday with a trip to Lincoln United.

Leeds United: Robinson, Richardson, Cansdell-Sheriff, Burns, Duberry, Hay, Maybury, McMaster, Johnson, Singh, Wilcox.
