I attended the York City v Leeds United friendly on Wednesday, August 8, and in the build-up day prior to the game there was no mention that York City were going to play first teamers in the first half and a mixture of youngsters and reserves for the entire second half.
This I can understand, with the league campaign starting, but why were we not told prior to the evening?
On top of that to charge the general public £8 entrance fee is adding insult to injury.
I am sure the crowd would have been smaller had everyone known this prior to the evening - although we were informed the entrance would be £8, but there was no mention of the team York City would field.
I feel that I was totally misled and the entrance fee was a rip-off. I know the saying goes "you get what you pay for" but this was certainly not the case on Wednesday night.
