STAMFORD BRIDGE won York Junior Cricket Association's PK Accommodation Under 15 Cup with a close win over Dunnington at Stillington.
Bridge won by four wickets with seven balls to spare as they successfully chased a total of 166 for 8.
Dunnington made steady progress on a good batting track with Adam Lyer (33) and Jack Bolam (28) building the platform for the later batsmen to score quick runs and post a good score from their 40 overs.
Rob Cuthbertson (3 for 29) and Steve Fieldsden (2 for 22) both bowled well for Stamford Bridge who made a positive start to their reply.
Steve Fieldsden (38) and Andy Parkinson, who went on to make 73, put on 89 for the first wicket and Bridge looked to be well on course for victory.
However, Ben Hough returned to the attack for Dunnington and took three wickets in one over to rock Bridge.
With R Bradley chipping in with a couple of wickets Dunnington were right back in the game.
Oliver Pimlott (13 not out), however, guided the tailenders to victory in the 39th over.
Maureen Linton presented the Cup to the victors on behalf of Sponsors PK Accommodation Ltd.
