THE Dinosaur Coast Garden Pride exhibition roars into life on the Scarborough seafront today, complete with moving dinosaurs and an erupting volcano.
Six animated dinosaurs - with sound effects - from the Jurassic period, are the main stars of the display, which creates a prehistoric scheme out of plants and flowers.
The display also features a flying dinosaur emerging from a pond, 20 different water features and an erupting volcano complete with flame effects.
Roger Burnett, parks and countryside manager, and his team, have been working on the project for the past two months and he said he was delighted that it was ready to be seen by the public at last.
"It is very difficult to describe the effects that have been created - all we can say is you have to see it to believe it," he said.
The exhibition, on the West Pier, runs until August 19.
