Pat Eddery, who aggravated an old rib injury in a nasty stalls incident at Bath on Tuesday, will be back in action tomorrow.
The 11-times champion jockey, who was hurt when his fractious mount burst out of the stalls, breaking off the front gate in the process, is expecting to have a double-stint of riding tomorrow, at Lingfield in the afternoon and Newmarket in the evening.
He is unlikely to draw a blank, at least at the first of those venues, where his several fancied rides include Arctic Falcon in the EBF Maiden Stakes.
Richard Hannon's juvenile showed plenty of promise on her debut, at Windsor, when fourth to Lady Lindsay. With that experience under her belt, she should be wise enough to do herself full justice tomorrow.
Eddery can also win the Champagne Courtyard Classified Stakes for John Dunlop on my Nap selectionWatchkeeper.
Although no star, Watchkeeper has run well enough in minor events to suggest that she can take advantage of all the allowances she receives in this modest race.
Jamie Spencer, who was seen to good effect on odds-on Lake Kinneret at Pontefract yesterday, can add to his score aboard Taboor in the featured £10,000 Tote Bookmakers Showcase Handicap.
Pip Payne's consistent sprinter gained a deserved win at Leicester last month and looks capable of following-up in this six-furlongs dash.
The booking of Kieren Fallon for Chaka Zulu in the Lingfield Leisure Club Handicap looks significant.
Although yet to trouble the judge in three outings this season, the William Haggas-trained four-year-old has dropped 9lb in the ratings. He should now be coming to hand and, with Fallon on board, is certainly not one to underestimate.
Rio's Diamond, second to Swynford Welcome at Brighton last month, would hardly need to improve on that display to make a spirited bid in division two of the Phil Agius and Jo Fenwick Wedding Celebration Handicap.
At Wolverhampton, Norton jockey Gyles Parkin can enjoy a welcome winner aboard Rififi in the six-furlongs seller.
The eight-year-old provided new trainer Russell Wilman with his first winner when bolting home at Southwell last month. It would not surprise me to see this speedy customer produce a repeat performance tomorrow.
John Balding is enjoying his best-ever season and the Bawtry handler, successful at Sandown last night with Lady Pekan, can add to his score with Crystal Lass in the Fibresand Classified Stakes.
The five-year-old, a regular at Southwell, has been in cracking form this summer and she can score her fourth win from her last six starts.
