MARK Boldry is passionate about cars - whether he is driving them, racing them or lovingly restoring them.
Mark, 41, of Stockton-on-the-Forest, near York, has been mad about classic cars and racing cars since he was 15, and his life revolves around them. In fact, Mark's passion has become so all-absorbing, he has now built a business around it. Mark's company, Drymar Engineering, allows him to look after people's cars and his own and restore them to their former glory in his work time as well as his spare time.
He has been professionally involved in motor sports for the past five years, and has been commissioned to strip down and rebuild cars such as Aston Martins, Lamborghinis and Porsches. He recently went to Spa in Belgium to compete in a European historic racing saloon challenge in which the car he was looking after came fifth overall.
In the same race last year, the car he was with won the competition.
Mark said: "At the moment, I am completely renovating a 1961 Aston Martin DB4, repairing a Lotus Elan and am looking after a famous 1958 Austin Healey, which is owned by Mark Garnier, whose father was a professional rally driver in the 1950s and 60s and was well known in sporting circles."
He added: "I really love my job."
