HOW wonderful to read in the Evening Press that 10,000 pictures of historic York will be available to view on the Internet (July 2).
As a lover of old photos and old York, I look forward to this great opportunity.
But how scary that the cost of this project is more than £129,000.
That means for each picture to be placed on the net it has cost just over £12 each.
Surely there must be a far cheaper method than this for scanning photos and placing them on a web site.
I would love to do it myself for half that amount.
