BRITAIN'S tallest man made himself known when he arrived to open a new extension at an East Riding infant school.
It was hard to miss 7ft 6in Chris Greener when he pitched up to help the pupils of Market Weighton infant school celebrate their new extension with a day of fun and activities.
Chris was following in the large footsteps of fellow giant William Bradley, who was born in Market Weighton in 1787, and outstripped Chris at a height of 7ft 9in.
The school's new extension includes six classrooms, together with additional toilets and a staffroom.
The opening has seen the end of temporary mobile classrooms, while places have been added for 90 new pupils.
The day's events included measuring, drawing, painting - and a special "giant dinner".
