Harrogate RUFC have beaten a host of clubs for the signature of former Rotherham forward John Dudley, who spent most of last season on loan at Claro Road.
Dudley, who was in the Yorkshire side which recently beat Cornwall in the Country Championship Challenge, had been wooed by a number of clubs including Doncaster and Cleckheaton but has decided to stay with Harrogate.
The 6ft 4in back-five forward, who weighs in at over 17-stone, is currently playing with Rotherham in the Rugby League Conference.
Harrogate have also signed 21-year-old Charles Maunder, an inside centre from Leeds Tykes Academy who had previous experience at Leicester.
